Ask Geriatric Mum

By February 9, 2022No Comments

Remember magazine problem pages? More!, Just Seventeen, Mizz, Jackie – these were just some of the newsstand titles with problem pages that were devoured by girls and boys across the UK, often in secret.

The idea that problems are just a thing you battle with in your teenage years is nonsense. In reality, the problems we face change as our lives evolve, often becoming bigger and more serious.

On Saturday 12th February 2022, Ask Geriatric Mum launches here on the GM blog. The modern-day equivalent of an agony aunt, this light-hearted section of the website will be updated weekly and extend a supportive helping hand to anyone struggling with a problem, big or small.

You are invited to write in about anything that is on your mind and I will endeavour to publish as many as I can on the Geriatric Mum blog, with no topic out of bounds: children, work, friends, love, health, appearance, sexuality, parenting, confidence, money, getting older, menopause, education, neurodiversity and more. I will offer my geriatric support as a well-rounded mum of three (and confidence coach) who has been around a bit. If I can’t help, I will reach out to someone more experienced – I know a lot of people!
