I had the chance to share my story in The Sun today, opening up about my experience as an older “geriatric” mum – something I’m often asked about and always happy to discuss. If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you’ll know I welcomed my third baby in 2019, at the age of 43.
Now, six years later, I still receive messages from women who are being judged simply because of their age. This post is for them, and for all the incredible women who have walked this path before, and those who will come after, facing criticism for one reason or another. You’re not alone, and your journey is valid, beautiful, and worth celebrating.
Are you a gerry mum too? If so email me here, I’m always looking for heartwarming real stories and experiences to share here on the blog.
Take care,
Lucy aka Geriatric Mum
